Assignment of the qualification thesis

The student chooses the topic of the thesis in the penultimate year of study, after logging-in to Portal UWB in the section Study - My study - Thesis topics. (See the manual.)

From the given date, students can view the topics, and from the date of registration, they can register on the topic. After closing the registration, the topics are assigned to individual students.

For those who did not manage to get the topic, the second round of registration is launched.

After assigning the qualification thesis topics, the Faculty will generate an official written assignment of the qualification thesis, and the student will pick it up at the secretariat of the relevant Department within the given deadline..

All dates are given by the current Dean's Decree on the organization of the academic year at FEE UWB.

Elaboration of the qualification thesis

Students prepare their theses during the last year. They have the opportunity to use consultations with their supervisors and consultations within the relevant courses.

The methodology of elaborating the qualification thesis and its template is given by the Dean's Decree on qualification theses and state final examinations.

Submission of the qualification thesis

Student must submit the work in electronic form by the specified deadline, again on the UWB Portal in the section Study - My Study - Final thesis. Here, they click on the link Complete data about Bachelor/Master thesis, fill in the obligatory data, confirm that they prepared the thesis themselves, upload the PDF document with their thesis and possible attachments.

Checking the qualification thesis

After submission, the thesis is sent to check its similarity to the system Theses.cz.

Evaluation of the qualification work

After submission, the thesis is sent for evaluation to the supervisor and assessment to the opponent. The student has the opportunity to view both reviews no later than five working days before the defense.

Defense of the qualification thesis

The qualification thesis must be defended within the final state examination.
